Connecticut
I couldn't resist sharing the images from an apple farm we visited in Southeastern Connecticut. The mums were very colurful and actually blew out the reds and whites on most of my shots. I should've bracketed the shots :( The apples were delicious. I've had fresh (not the marketing definition of fresh) plums and peaches, picked right off the tree, what a treat. Well, these apples did not disappoint. Better than any supermarket apples. We're way too far south to have real apples trees that will produce fruit. I wish I had one now.
Country in New York
Even in New York you find signs of country living if you look hard enough. The peaches were fresh, sweet and juicy. The peppers were extremely vibrant and colorful (no I didn't bite into one!). And, I even found a water tower (there were actually many). Notice that in "the city" (this is what the locals call Manhattan), the tower is a wooden water tower!
All three photos were taken in Midtown Manhattan at Union Square.
